Beginner/Intermediate (Ride Guide Nicole)
Nicole's Sunday Excursions are always an adventure! Join her for an exploration of the tracks of Tunnel Gully: a real mix of old and new, old railway lines, single track and maybe even a tunnel or two! The exact route will depend on Sunday's trail and weather conditions. While this ride is suitable for beginners, experience on your mountain bike is essential, as is the fitness to ride for three hours, including some hill climbing. (Turn right off SH2 at Te Marua (at the dairy and before the golf course). Turn left on to Plateau Road and drive into Tunnel Gully Regional Park. Meet at the lower carpark near the end of the road.
