WEEKLY MTB Ride - Intro to Night Riding Series with Rachel
Tuesday 21 June @ Makara @ 6pm
This session is aimed at more confident riders who want to attempt some tech trails at night. We will climb to the top and then take North Face into the new Pohatu track, follow Pohatu to the end and then flow into Starfish. This ride is recommended for those with a decent level of fitness who have climbed to the peak before. All of the descending trails are light blue grade 3 / easy 4. The ride will take place at Makara at 6pm, meeting by the toilet block in the main carpark. A helmet light is necessary, at least 1000 lumens and I also like to double up with a handlebar light, although just 1 bright light will suffice.
